In short. You may read, share and quote what is on this Site with a reference to us. Please do not copy our photographs or logo, do not misuse the forms, and check important facts with us before relying on them. We are a non-profit organisation and offer the Site as it is.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms govern the use of teachforuzbekistan.org (the "Site"), operated by NGO "Teach For Uzbekistan" (see the Legal Notice). By using the Site you accept these terms. The Fellowship Admissions Portal (apply.teachforuzbekistan.org), payment providers and social networks have their own terms.

2. Purpose of the Site

The Site informs about Teach For Uzbekistan, its Fellowship, its people, partners and results, and lets you contact us, enquire about partnerships and support our work. It is not an offer of employment or of any service; the Fellowship is applied for through the Admissions Portal, and selection follows the published process.

3. Using the Site

You agree not to:

  • attempt to gain access to the content-management system, other people's data or the Site's infrastructure;
  • send spam, automated submissions or malicious content through the forms;
  • copy the Site or substantial parts of it by automated means without our written permission (search engines indexing the Site are welcome);
  • use the Site in a way that damages it, other users or TFU's reputation, or that breaks the law.

We may limit or block access to the Site's forms or features to protect them (for example, a limit on the number of messages per hour).

4. Intellectual property

Texts, photographs, videos, illustrations, the map, the design and the code of the Site belong to Teach For Uzbekistan or are used under licence. They are protected by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Copyright and Related Rights" and international treaties.

You may:

  • read, print and share links to the Site;
  • quote short passages for information, teaching, research and reporting, with the reference "Teach For Uzbekistan, teachforuzbekistan.org";
  • use the press materials on the For media page under the conditions stated there.

You may not, without written permission, reuse photographs or videos of people, reuse the logo (except as provided on the media page), or present the Site's content as your own. "Teach For All" is a trademark of Teach For All, Inc.

5. What you send us

When you send a message through a form, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you may share it. Messages are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not send us confidential business information or personal data of third parties through the forms. By sending a story, quotation or photo for publication, you grant TFU a free, non-exclusive right to publish it on the Site and in TFU's communications, and you confirm you hold the rights to it (for people shown, the media consent form applies).

6. Accuracy of information

We keep the Site as accurate and up to date as we can. Figures (numbers of Fellows, schools, pupils) are shown with the date they refer to and may change. Dates of the application window and of events are stated for information; the Admissions Portal and our written confirmations are decisive. Nothing on the Site is legal, financial or tax advice.

7. Links and third-party services

Links to other websites, embedded videos and payment services are provided for convenience. Their content and their handling of your data are the responsibility of their operators. We do not endorse them by linking.

8. Liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Teach For Uzbekistan is not liable for losses arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the Site or from reliance on its content, nor for interruptions caused by hosting, network or third-party failures. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for intentional harm).

9. Changes to the Site and to these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may update these terms; the version and effective date are shown at the top, and continued use after a change means acceptance.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Disagreements are first addressed by writing to info@teachforuzbekistan.org; if no agreement is reached within 30 days, disputes are resolved by the competent courts of the city of Tashkent.

11. Languages

These terms are published in Uzbek, Karakalpak, Russian and English. In case of divergence, the Uzbek text prevails.
