Sources: 37 individual Fellow Impact Reports; TFU diagnostic testing (DT) 2025 with 2,506 students across 10+ subjects in Uzbek and Russian; Panorama Education student survey (241 → 753 responses); internal school monitoring in Kashkadarya.

⚠️ Draft figures as of April 2026 — to be confirmed by TFU leadership before launch (see docs/audit.md §2).

Academic outcomes

Based on 37 individual Fellow Impact Reports, students in Fellows’ classrooms showed an average academic gain of +14.3% — 15.3% in Cohort 1, 14.0% in Cohort 2 — with more than 360 students improving by over 20%. Internal school monitoring in parts of Kashkadarya recorded gains as high as +21.3%.

How we measure

To measure this rigorously, TFU built its own diagnostic testing system (DT), modeled on PISA: open-ended, real-world application questions rather than rote recall, given at the start and end of the school year to track actual learning growth. In 2025, DT reached 2,506 students — the largest diagnostic testing effort TFU has run to date — across 10+ subjects in both official languages (Uzbek and Russian).

Classroom quality — Panorama Education

TFU uses Panorama Education, the same globally validated survey used across the Teach For All network, to measure classroom quality directly from students. Between the 2024–25 and 2025–26 school years, the survey base grew 3.1x (241 → 753 student responses), and 6 of 7 quality measures improved.

Leadership & community impact

  • Fellow leadership growth

Fellows self-report significant leadership growth — an average of 3.9 out of 5, rising to 4.1 in Cohort 2 as mentorship and support systems matured.

  • 100+ school & community initiatives

Reaching 958+ students, parents, and community members — from STEM and IT clubs to literacy programs, financial literacy training, and civic-education projects.

Recognition

Teach For Uzbekistan is an official partner of the global Teach For All network, which it joined in September 2024. The network is active in 63 countries.

What’s next

TFU’s first cohort of 12 Alumni graduated in June 2026 — the program’s first full two-year cycle. We plan to expand to two more regions, Fergana and Namangan, by the end of 2027, and to place Fellows in every region of Uzbekistan by 2030.
