Preparing in-demand professionals, developing practical skills, and creating direct connections between students and employers are increasingly important in today’s labor market. With this in mind, Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and Teach For Uzbekistan jointly organized a Career Day.

The event gave students and graduates an opportunity to meet potential employers, explore career pathways, and learn about opportunities to gain practical experience in their fields.

The event was opened by Feruza Khurshidovna Maksudova, Vice-Rector for Practical Training at Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute. She emphasized that succeeding in the labor market requires not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills, continuous learning, and professional development. She also highlighted Career Day as an effective platform for direct dialogue between young professionals and employers.

Sagdiana Rahmanova, representing Teach For Uzbekistan, introduced the organization’s work and strategic goals and spoke about opportunities available to young professionals. Students received information on professional development, employment opportunities, and potential career pathways within the organization.

Throughout Career Day, students were able to meet employers directly, learn about real labor-market expectations, recruitment and interview processes, and the skills needed for professional growth. They also received first-hand information about internships and employment opportunities.

The open discussions allowed students to ask questions and establish initial professional connections with employers. The event helped many participants identify promising career directions and receive practical guidance for entering the workforce.

Initiatives like this contribute to the professional development of young specialists. Cooperation between Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and Teach For Uzbekistan is expected to continue, creating further opportunities for students.
