Published on 25 June 2026

Teach For Uzbekistan’s first cohort has completed the two-year program. To mark the occasion, a graduation event brought together program participants, students, school principals, representatives of government and international organizations, partners, and friends of the organization.
Two years ago, members of the first cohort began working in schools in the Chiroqchi and Koʻkdala districts of Kashkadarya region. Throughout the program, they became part of their school communities and gained practical experience working with students, organizing the learning process, and engaging with local communities.
At the graduation event, participants reflected on their two years of work and shared their experiences and achievements. They spoke about their first lessons and early challenges, the progress made together with their students, and how the experience helped develop their professional and leadership potential.
Students and school leaders, representatives of government and international organizations, and program partners who had accompanied the participants throughout their two-year journey also attended the event.
The graduation of the program’s first 12 Fellows marks an important milestone in the history of Teach For Uzbekistan. While the two-year program has come to an end, their work in education continues. As the first members of the Teach For Uzbekistan alumni community, they will continue to apply their experience and knowledge to contribute to the development of education.
